The design was based on the classical forms of Swansea Museum and the cupola that was part
of the old Post Office and now forms part of Salubrious Place. These strong architectural
forms and geometric shapes allowed a rich repeat patterning. The careful choice of surface treatments gave each part of the design its own character and prevented the design from becoming an unreadable melange of elements.
The complex nature of the design of panel E was complimented by an ornate sand blasted frame, produced using Photoshop and vinyl plotting and cutting.
